What to expect from CrossFit Group Classes

In this post I attempt to answer all of the most common questions I get about CrossFit. Things like What kinds of things do you do?  How long does it take?  How much does it cost? Do you offer Personal Training?  Will I get hurt?  I am XX pounds overweight can I do this? 


During group sessions at CrossFit FerVor, you will push yourself hard.  Our coaches have been trained to ensure that you don’t compromise your ability to safely conduct the movements. We will scale workouts and adjust the work load based on your current level of capacity and ramp up as you gain proficiency.  Which means regardless of your current fitness level you can do this and benefit from it, without injury.

CrossFit FerVor is a coaching facility, not a typical gym that you walk into and use the “stuff” on your own. FerVor boasts an impressive facility that will keep you from getting bored with your training and keep you guessing with what will be in store for you next. From flipping tractor tires, picking up atlas stones, Olympic lifting, and an endless array of bodyweight and gymnastics movements, your program will be unlike anything you have ever experienced.  Group sessions are designed to be completed in one hour from start to finish.

However, we provide so much more than just a workout.  We incorporate diet/nutrition support in addition to assisting you in tracking your training, to deliver the most dramatic, measurable results possible.  Regardless of your level of capacity, our system and group environment generates results that just are not available elsewhere.


Our athletes/members only train during scheduled sessions that are lead by our qualified coaches. We have created an environment conducive to empowering our athletes/members to push themselves to gain results that they did not think possible.
Our coaches will teach you skills, habits and nutritional knowledge you will need to achieve revolutionary results and sustain a lifetime of fitness.  Our coaches practice what we preach and we have used CrossFit to put ourselves in the best shape of our lives.

One of the most unique elements of CrossFit is the “Community.”  With a diverse mix of personalities at FerVor, it is sure to be one of the most unique training experiences you have been a part of.  You will often find our members spending time with each other outside of the box; it can become a support group that is like no other. There are group events such as Nutrition Challenges, Holiday Parties, Fitness Games/Competitions, and Fundraisers that give our members a chance to come together as a community and spend time with like minded individuals.  The support and motivation garnered from the other members is remarkable. You will become part of the most unique and selfless fitness communities on the planet.

If you are looking for the “quick fix”, you’ve probably left by now.  If however you have realized the truth that there is no “quick fix” to living an active and healthy lifestyle. The most common question I get is how much does it cost?  Memberships range from $115-$199 per month and generally average $150/ month.  The amount is based on your commitment level, with discounts for additional family members, paid in full memberships, active first responders as well as active and prior service military.  We’ll be happy to review all our membership options with you in person so you can decide exactly what is right for you and your goals after you’ve gone through an introductory class, so you can experience first hand how CrossFit FerVor operates.  Simply fill out the “I Want a Free Session” form in order to set up your initial visit and assessment with one of our trainers.

There will not be a long sales pitch, we will share the membership options and if it is not something you are interested in, we are just pleased you took the time to learn more about us. No daily calls, no convincing. We are not in the business of selling CrossFit.  The program and results sell themselves. You will have to make a commitment to make it work, but an investment in health and fitness will return dividends that you currently wouldn’t believe. If it were easy, everyone would be healthy and we wouldn’t be one of the most obese societies on the planet. I can promise you that this will be a challenge, but the results will be more than worth the effort.

Our coaches are here to help you achieve your goals.  We are extremely professional, yet do not to sugarcoat the truth or waste your time.  We will expect your focused effort each time you train. The results we have seen with our clients have been extremely impressive. Most things are possible, but you need to remember, “If you want things you have never had before, you must be willing to do things you have never done before”. You cannot train the same way you have in the past and expect different results. Our system works!
